Sowing Seeds starts with a trade. Right now that trade is welding: hands-on training for young people in Folkston, Georgia (Charlton County), who want a skill they can build a living on. It's real work with real tools, and local businesses like Wright's Welding have put their own support behind it. Jyziah, one of our first participants, is proof of what that can look like.

Welding is where we begin, not where we stop. Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry are planned next, so the program can grow as fast as the need around it does. Each new trade will follow the same approach. Teach the work properly, put participants alongside people in the trade, and send them out able to earn.
